About the position

Great Clips is seeking a part-time receptionist to join their salon team. This role is essential in providing a welcoming experience for customers from check-in to service completion. The receptionist will work primarily on weekends and some nights, with additional hours available during the holiday season, making it an ideal position for high school or cosmetology students.

Responsibilities

• Be ready to work when the salon opens and accept customers until the salon closes.
• Greet and check in customers, communicating wait times effectively.
• Assist customers in understanding the Online Check-in service.
• Support stylists in their duties.
• Perform light cleaning and sweeping duties.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Warmly greet customers.
• Communicate and educate customers on Great Clips processes and services.
• General knowledge of retail products and ability to make recommendations.
• Manage the flow of customers between check-in and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front desk and lobby area.
• Manage answering phone calls and updating customer records.
