About the position
The Receptionist at Rivergate Terrace plays a crucial role in providing clerical support and serving as the first point of contact for visitors, both in person and over the phone. This part-time position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to operate the facility's phone and paging system while adhering to applicable laws and Life Care standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary.
- Demonstrate dependable and regular attendance.
- Communicate and function productively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
