The Reconciliation Specialist position at Radford University is a temporary part-time role within the Human Resources department, specifically under the Finance & Administration division. This position is designed to support the reconciliation processes currently in place, ensuring that all reconciliations are up to date and accurate. The specialist will be responsible for learning and performing all reconciliations as they are structured, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise during the reconciliation process. This role requires meticulous documentation of examples and the resolutions taken to address discrepancies, as well as making recommendations for improvements to existing processes, including modifications to the tools used for reconciliation. In addition to performing reconciliations, the Reconciliation Specialist will collaborate with IT and benefits teams to clear reporting issues and understand the root causes of discrepancies. A critical aspect of this role is the documentation of all processes and procedures related to each reconciliation, which includes creating job aids and guidance documents. The specialist will also be tasked with training the benefits team and any other identified personnel on the established procedures for reconciliation, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing the specialist to perform their duties from a location of their choice, provided they adhere to the maximum limit of 1500 hours per year, which runs from May 1 to April 30. The normal work schedule is typically weekdays, but specific hours will be determined based on the needs of the department and the specialist's availability.
