About The Position

The Records Management Specialist at Hyster-Yale Materials Handling will be responsible for managing the company's records and information management (RIM) program. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and contributes to information governance initiatives, playing a key part in the organization's data integrity and privacy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of experience in records and information management.
  • In lieu of a degree, 7-10 years of progressive experience in records and information management.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles (GARP), electronic records management systems, and legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information securely and discreetly.
  • Experience managing complex projects, including setting timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, motivate others, and achieve established program goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for training delivery, records research, and promoting RIM initiatives.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions to business problems and advance RIM processes.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering projects within budget constraints.
  • Capability to work independently while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Administer policies and oversee global RIM program activities, ensuring compliance with records retention schedules.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements, conduct audits, and collaborate with teams to maintain data integrity and align with privacy standards.
  • Develop and deliver RIM training programs, providing ongoing support to site records administrators and promoting policy adoption.
  • Contribute to lifecycle governance planning, drive process improvements, and manage RIM-related application updates.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align RIM efforts with organizational objectives, including data privacy and cybersecurity initiatives.
