Recoup/Damage-Sit Down Forklift Operator

About the position

The Recoup/Damage teammate at FedEx Supply Chain is responsible for accurately recouping products to minimize loss while adhering to company standards of quality, safety, accuracy, security, and productivity. This role involves verifying, sorting, and auditing damaged products, as well as assisting in inventory management and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify, sort, and audit damaged products at established warehouse damage locations.
• Safely unload, sort, and receive all product returns as needed.
• Help maintain inventory and assist in ordering KDFs and components to avoid lost productive time.
• Operate various pieces of material handling and radio frequency equipment to complete job functions.
• Communicate necessary information concerning issues and discrepancies with quality, inventory, and shipment to Supervisors and Operations Manager.
• Clean up and report spills to the Supervisor or Operations Manager immediately.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
• Conduct operations in compliance with safety, productivity, and quality guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the building and promote a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) experience preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.
