About the position
The Recovery Audit Contract Representative is responsible for coordinating and processing audit information related to additional document requests, appeals, validation, and data reporting. This role serves as a liaison between various departments and external agencies, ensuring accurate data submission and maintaining the Audit Tracking System. The position emphasizes patient-focused care and values the contributions of its caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process audit information for additional document requests, appeals, and validation.
- Research, compile, and submit requested data to external agencies.
- Maintain the Audit Tracking System for the ministry.
- Act as a liaison between the ministry, business office, care management, legal consultants, providers, and third-party payers.
Requirements
- 3 years of HIM related experience.
- Experience with OIG, CMS, Medicare Fiscal Intermediary audits, and other payer audits.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management.
- 1 year of Recovery Audit information coordination experience.
