About the position

The Recovery Pastor at Hope Center Ministries is responsible for leading a campus-focused discipleship recovery program aimed at helping individuals struggling with addiction find freedom through a relationship with Jesus Christ. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing volunteers, and fostering a supportive community environment for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide discipleship and lay counseling to residents.
• Ensure adequate time is spent with every resident through individual and group counseling.
• Facilitate mentorship outings with approved mentors and family members.
• Oversee Bible study teachers and ensure adherence to HCM guidelines.
• Manage daily operations at the campus and develop responsibilities for community leaders and staff.
• Coordinate family support nights and plan holiday and special events for support groups.
• Promote a Godly environment and care for the needs of residents through prayer and shared activities.
• Ensure all resident documentation is accurately maintained in the database.
• Attend courses, workshops, and conferences for personal and professional development.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of the Bible.
• Working knowledge of Celebrate Recovery 12 steps and 8 Principles (Beatitudes).
• Basic knowledge of human behavior and lay counseling.
• General knowledge of drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
