About the position

The Recovery Project Coordinator role is designed to support organizations in expanding their services for individuals affected by substance use disorders. This position involves collaborating with a team to evaluate and create internal programs, build external partnerships, and develop training programs aimed at enhancing recovery workforce pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Help organizations build capacity to address the opioid epidemic.
  • Coordinate and support a variety of projects, program development, and outreach activities.
  • Receive recovery and skill-based training, professional development, and ongoing support from staff.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience, build your professional network, and launch your career while embedded at a local recovery organization.
  • Share your experience with the wider community as a Recovery Corps ambassador.

Requirements

  • Dependable with a history of good attendance.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to set a pace and maintain a service schedule based on agreed hours commitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication, databases, software use, and videoconferencing.
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  • Able to successfully complete a background check.
