About the position

As a Recovery Project Coordinator with Recovery Corps, you will play a vital role in addressing the opioid epidemic that is affecting communities across the nation. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those impacted by substance use disorders. You will work collaboratively with local organizations to expand their services and support systems for individuals in recovery. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and creating internal programs, building networks with external partners, and developing training programs or recovery workforce pipelines. Responsibilities

  • Help organizations build capacity to address the opioid epidemic.
  • Coordinate and support a variety of projects, program development, and outreach activities.
  • Receive recovery and skill-based training, professional development, and ongoing support from staff.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience while embedded at a local recovery organization.
  • Share your experience with the wider community as a Recovery Corps ambassador.

Requirements

  • Dependable with a history of good attendance.
  • Able to understand and follow instructions.
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule based on agreed hours commitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication, databases, and videoconferencing.
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  • Able to successfully complete a background check.
