About the position

The Recovery Project Coordinator position at Ampact is a full-time role designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their communities through national service. As part of the AmeriCorps program, members will engage in various activities aimed at promoting recovery and healthy futures within the community. This position not only offers a chance to contribute positively to society but also provides a stipend and a range of benefits that support members during their service term. Members will receive a bi-weekly stipend, with the amount varying based on the hours committed per week. For those committing to 40 hours, the stipend is $1200 every two weeks, while those committing to 25 hours will receive $725 bi-weekly. Additionally, members will have their individual health insurance premiums fully covered and may qualify for childcare assistance based on family size and income. The role also includes access to significant federal benefits, including the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, which can be used for tuition or to repay qualified student loans. Members starting in July can earn up to $6895, while those starting in September can earn up to $7395. Furthermore, members will benefit from federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment, as well as time accrual toward the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
