About the position

The Recovery Specialist I - Floater is responsible for the collection of past due accounts in a fast-paced, goal-oriented call center environment. This entry-level position focuses on recovering payments primarily through inbound calls while providing excellent customer service for consumer inquiries and disputes. The role includes ongoing training and the opportunity to obtain ACA Collector certification.

Responsibilities

• Recover payments on delinquent accounts
• Provide excellent customer service regarding the collection of past due accounts
• Handle consumer inquiries and disputes
• Retain system knowledge and company processes to accurately work accounts
• Negotiate effectively with consumers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Bilingual preferred
• Experience with third-party collections and/or medical collections preferred
• Excellent knowledge retention
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills
• Creative problem solver
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service skills
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in medical collections
• Bilingual skills
