Responsibilities

• Cleans and provides daily care to animals, ensuring they are healthy, fed, and housed in a clean environment.
• Supports pet adoptions by helping prospective pet owners, providing information about animals, and facilitating the adoption process.
• Answers telephone inquiries, assists visitors, and provides excellent customer service to pet owners and the general public.
• Safely and humanely restrains animals for various procedures, including medical examinations and vaccinations.
• Observes animals for signs of illness or distress and reports any concerns to senior staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong telephone and communication skills to effectively interact with the public.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation to-and-from work.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in an animal care or veterinary setting is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in safely restraining animals for various procedures.
