About the position
The Recreation Attendant at Palisades Tahoe is responsible for assisting in the operation, setup, and maintenance of recreational activities such as the Tube Park, Ice Rink, and Mini Snowmobiles. This role ensures a clean and enjoyable atmosphere for guests while enforcing safety regulations and providing excellent customer service. The position is seasonal and can be part-time or full-time, with a focus on creating a positive experience for visitors in a winter outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, setup, and maintenance of the Tube Park, Ice Rink, or Mini Snowmobiles.
- Maintain a clean and enjoyable atmosphere and ensure guest compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide top-quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
- Greet guests and answer questions about Palisades Tahoe activities and equipment.
- Assist in setting up activity equipment and ensure guests know the activity rules.
- Conduct safety training and assist guests with understanding the operation of the activity, safety, and procedures.
- Rent equipment, process payments, and perform account closeout at the end of the day.
- Maintain the tube runs, ice rink, or snowmobile track, including snow removal as necessary.
- Ensure the facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.
- Assist with the cleaning, repair, inspection, and maintenance of activity equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer, and forklift to remove snow and clear the Ice Skating Rink.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong sense of customer service and safety awareness
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Neat and clean appearance in compliance with company grooming standards
- Punctuality and ability to report at scheduled start time
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of Palisades Tahoe or ability to locate information
- General knowledge of Alpine
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer, and forklift.
