About the position

The Recreation Therapist at Sutter Health is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating recreation or leisure-based treatment programs tailored for patients with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. This role involves a comprehensive approach to patient care, including evaluation and assessment of patients, selecting appropriate treatment plans, and implementing interventions that align with the patients' needs. The therapist is expected to exercise sound judgment and utilize developed clinical skills to contribute effectively to the patient's care plan based on their diagnosis, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
