About the position

Join our dynamic team at our Licensed Cannabis Dispensary in New York, where you will provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in selecting cannabis products tailored to their preferences. This role requires a keen understanding of cannabis products and NY brands, along with the ability to work with precision and urgency. While prior cannabis industry experience is a plus, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and engage with customers, maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Guide customers in choosing the ideal cannabis products tailored to their preferences and needs.
• Offer detailed insights on various strains, products, and consumption techniques.
• Uphold a clean and organized workspace.
• Execute transactions promptly and accurately, following established cash handling protocols.
• Assist in order processing within the fulfillment room.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
• Comply with all state and local regulations governing cannabis sales.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols to foster a secure work environment.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have experience in retail/sales.
• A positive attitude coupled with excellent communication skills for effective customer and team interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is advantageous.
• Proficiency in basic math and understanding of metric weights.
• Minimum age requirement of 21, with successful completion of any mandatory background checks.
