About the position

The Recreational Gymnastics Coach at United Gymnastics Academy is responsible for leading gymnastics classes for athletes of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. The role focuses on providing personalized feedback, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and maintaining communication with parents about their children's progress. Coaches will also assist in setting up the gym and ensuring safe training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead gymnastics classes on floor, bars, beam, vault, and tumbling for various skill levels.
• Provide personalized feedback to gymnasts to help them master their skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that builds teamwork and confidence.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their children's progress and upcoming events.
• Assist in setting up the gym and maintaining a safe training environment.

Requirements

• Experience in gymnastics, cheer, or dance is a plus but not required.
• Understanding of gymnastics techniques and safety is a major plus.
• Strong communication skills to inspire and motivate athletes.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience coaching other sports or working with children is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous coaching experience in gymnastics or related sports.
• Ability to create engaging and fun lesson plans.
