About the position
The part-time Recruiter for Admissions at Rider University is responsible for representing the university in a professional manner, counseling prospective students, reviewing applications, making admission decisions, and managing recruitment efforts in the territories of Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and North Carolina. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a credible spokesperson for Rider University.
- Counsel prospective students regarding admissions processes and opportunities.
- Review applications and make admission decisions.
- Manage a specific recruitment territory (MD, VA, DC, and NC).
- Obtain necessary knowledge of all aspects of Rider University.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal/customer service and time management skills.
- Intermediate skill level with internet applications, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license in good standing and vehicle required.
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in higher education.
- Demonstrated School Counselor or College Counselor experience.
