About the position

The HR Generalist at VITRA Health plays a crucial role in the talent acquisition process, focusing on recruiting and evaluating candidates to meet staffing objectives. This position is essential for supporting the organization's growth by ensuring a positive candidate experience and collaborating with hiring managers to attract top talent. The HR Generalist will also be involved in various HR functions, including compliance, employee records management, and the implementation of HR programs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers; and managing recruiting metrics.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop sourcing strategies to attract talent.
  • Proactively seek optimal candidates to fill positions, forming partnerships with schools and organizations as needed.
  • Source candidates via Applicant Tracking System and actively recruit through various job boards.
  • Improve organizational attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices and monitoring job offers and compensation practices.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions in line with federal and state guidelines.
  • Drive and own the full cycle recruiting process for all positions.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.
  • Post jobs on various job boards and social media platforms.
  • Schedule and conduct phone screens and manage in-person interview coordination.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing and analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Organize post-interview debriefs with interview teams and candidates.
  • Communicate employer information and benefits during the screening process.
  • Manage communication with candidates during the recruiting process to ensure a positive experience.
  • Perform detailed reference checking and review results with hiring managers.
  • Organize and execute HR events such as job fairs and career days.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to track and improve processes.
  • Assist with the implementation and administration of the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Facilitate outreach to new hires to ensure completion of pre-employment documentation.
  • Assist with compliance and reporting of criminal background check results.
  • Support HR Team with management of employee records and data integrity in HRIS.
  • Complete routine compliance and outreach for positions requiring documentation and licensure.
  • Assist with updating the Employee Handbook as needed.
  • Foster a culture of customer service and commitment to quality care.
  • Plan and implement various HR programs and projects to support organizational growth.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for VITRA Health and reflect its vision, mission, and values.
  • Mentor and support team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in health care required.
  • 3+ years' experience in a human resources generalist role preferred.
  • General knowledge of benefits administration, compensation, talent acquisition, or related role.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures and employment law.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite.
  • Experience with Paylocity and/or BreezyHR preferred.
  • Strong time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
