About the position

The Recruiter, Human Resources Coordinator On-Site position at Performance Foodservice is a vital role responsible for providing comprehensive human resources administrative support at the site level. This includes managing the full cycle of recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions, which encompasses job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews. The role also involves generating offer letters and initiating pre-employment verification processes. The HR Coordinator will maintain applicant flow data for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity compliance, ensuring that all records are meticulously kept and updated in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). In addition to recruitment, the HR Coordinator will conduct new hire orientations, ensuring that all necessary forms are completed and filed appropriately. This position requires maintaining personnel records and submitting personnel changes, including pay rate adjustments and job title changes. The HR Coordinator may also assist with workers' compensation functions, including preparing injury reports and maintaining records related to employee injuries and safety compliance. The role is designed to support the company's quality management programs by providing effective customer service to both internal and external customers. The HR Coordinator will also engage in employee relations and engagement activities, fostering relationships with key talent and supporting the overall HR function within the organization. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment, contributing to the company's culture of rewards, recognition, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high volume, full cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions including intakes, posting jobs, sourcing, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, generating offer letters, and launching pre-employment verification invitations.
  • Maintain applicant flow data for Affirmative Action (AA) / Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) purposes.
  • Conduct new hire orientations to ensure all required forms are completed and forward or file as needed.
  • Assist employees with preparation and submission of all personnel-related forms on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain all personnel records and ensure original records are forwarded filed as needed.
  • Ensure candidate tracking is up to date and compliant in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), BrassRing/UKG.
  • Submit all personnel changes utilizing personnel action forms, including notifications regarding changes in pay rates, job titles and account codes/locations as well as payment of bonuses/incentives and tracking of employees on leaves of absence.
  • Assist with the administration of workers compensation functions to ensure all appropriate forms have been completed, including preparation of injury reports and maintaining records on lost time and modified duty time for injured employees.
  • Assist with safety functions, such as coordinating drug testing and working with clinics, attending all safety calls and preparing any monthly safety materials.
  • Assist with employee relations, employee engagement, maintaining relationships with key talent active and passive employment opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 6-12 months human resources or related area

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years human resources, business, or related area
  • 3+ years experience with recruiting in a full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook)
  • Proficient knowledge and demonstrated results using recruitment technology (i.e. LinkedIn Recruiter, Facebook, database mining, social media, and military)
  • High attention to detail and candidate communication
  • Flexible and adaptable with focused time management skills
  • Bilingual; Spanish and English preferred
