About the position

The Penske Recruiter will manage the full life-cycle recruiting process for a designated business group, focusing on sourcing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding. This role emphasizes proactive talent identification and requires strong organizational and time management skills to handle approximately 30-50 positions, primarily hourly. The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and candidates, utilizing various recruitment strategies and maintaining effective communication throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process including sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain relationships with technical schools, colleges, and diversity organizations to attract applicants.
• Conduct electronic and phone screenings of candidates, updating their status in the tracking system.
• Coordinate background checks and reference checks for applicants.
• Facilitate onsite hiring events such as career fairs and interview days.
• Maintain constant communication with hiring managers regarding active candidates and future hiring needs.
• Coach hiring managers on effective recruiting practices to ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Utilize reporting features of recruiting systems to track requisition and candidate status reports.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of recruiting experience in a large company environment.
• Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of equivalent work experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish, with fluency in reading and writing preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent internal customer service skills, including troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in-person and through written correspondence.

Nice-to-haves

• Recruiting certification preferred.
• Experience with enterprise applicant tracking systems, particularly Taleo.
