About the position

The Recruiter position at Bloomingdale's in Shrewsbury, NJ, is a part-time, temporary role focused on providing administrative support to the General Manager (GM) and enhancing the customer experience. The role involves managing schedules, addressing customer concerns, and supporting HR initiatives, all while ensuring a high level of organization and communication within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as gatekeeper for GM schedule and point person for escalated customer/employee issues.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by prioritizing both in-store and online customers.
  • Respond to and address customer concerns quickly, whether in person or through feedback channels.
  • Participate in the production of the store's daily communication newsletter.
  • Produce GM required correspondence and support store operations as needed.
  • Assist with the development and update of executive schedules and manage travel planning for the GM.
  • Coordinate conference calls, Skype meetings, and other meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of all business plans and initiatives involving store participation.
  • Develop and maintain all store reports, analyzing them for continuous improvement.
  • Execute store compliance strategy and manage Cash Office functions.
  • Assist store management in sourcing applicants and maintaining payroll functions.
  • Support the Professional Development Review process and ensure completion of reviews and goal setting processes.
  • Oversee candidate management process including recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Plan and execute recognition activities and all-store communication meetings.
  • Drive colleague participation in the Culture Pulse Survey and manage schedule edits for BSMs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Strong planning and execution skills to manage workflow and achieve priorities.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes retail hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or customer service environments.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and candidate management systems.
