About the position

We are searching for a motivated individual who enjoys variety in their day and thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Recruiter. As a Temporary Staffing Agency, we place individuals on a daily basis, and we are looking for someone with a can-do team player attitude. This role involves recruiting new applicants, assisting them through the employment process, matching them with job openings, and ensuring our clients' open positions are filled. The Recruiter will also be responsible for fingerprinting new hires, setting appointments, calculating timesheets, and assisting with some payroll functions. Building relationships within the community and meeting with new and existing clients is also a key part of this position. Preference will be given to candidates with temporary staffing experience and those willing to lead a team. Please note that this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit new applicants and assist them through the employment process.
  • Match applicants with job openings and ensure successful placements.
  • Fingerprint new hires and ensure compliance with hiring processes.
  • Set appointments and calculate timesheets for temporary workers.
  • Assist with payroll functions and ensure timely processing of timesheets.
  • Meet with new and existing clients to build relationships and understand their staffing needs.
  • Develop creative recruitment tactics including social media and job boards to attract candidates.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend career fairs and recruitment drives to source talent.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance when working with temporary staff.
  • Adapt to changes and share information with team members.

Requirements

  • Temporary staffing experience is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service experience is required.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Experience with payroll and operations is a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task are necessary.
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and be empathetic and flexible.
  • Advanced knowledge in using all Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • A Certified Staffing Professional or Society of Human Resource Management Certification is a plus.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Prior experience as a supervisor or manager is a plus.
