About the position

The Recruiter - Talent Acquisition at University of Michigan Health-West is responsible for managing the recruitment process for designated positions, ensuring timely filling with qualified applicants. This role emphasizes developing a diverse applicant pool and involves various recruitment activities, including prescreening, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Develop a diverse applicant pool of qualified candidates.
• Prescreen and interview applicants.
• Set up departmental interviews and follow up with management staff and candidates after interviews.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of the job offer/hiring process.
• Facilitate background investigations, credential/licensure verifications, and reference checks.
• Schedule employee start dates and health screenings.
• Network to establish positive professional relationships and promote the organization.
• Communicate regularly with Administration, Unit Directors, and Nurse Managers regarding recruitment objectives.
• Speak at local colleges and universities about healthcare opportunities.
• Assist in planning and coordinating the summer Student Extern program.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in recruitment activities.
• Evaluate and coordinate sourcing of applicants, including advertisements and job fairs.
• Maintain accurate information in the applicant tracking program.
• Assist in marketing and communication plans for employment opportunities.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and customer service.
• Experience working with the Internet to source candidates.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under high stress and tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and/or Human Resources in healthcare.
