About the position

The University of Virginia's Department of Human Resources is seeking dedicated Recruiters to join the Health System team. This role is characterized by a significant degree of independence and autonomy, allowing the selected candidate to collaborate closely with senior HR leadership on complex recruitment challenges. The ideal candidate will possess experience in high-volume recruitment, demonstrating the ability to create and implement effective recruitment plans while sourcing passive candidates through various platforms and venues. A strong background in healthcare recruitment is highly preferred, particularly in sourcing, interviewing, and recommending candidates for a range of positions, including support, professional, and management-level roles. This is a term-limited position, set to conclude on June 30, 2025, providing an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive HR environment. In this role, the Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions, utilizing a variety of tools, including social media, to source candidates effectively. The Recruiter will also be tasked with implementing and creating comprehensive recruitment plans, ensuring that accurate and concise records are maintained throughout all phases of the recruitment process. Additionally, the Recruiter will engage in recruitment activities at virtual events, colleges, technical schools, and job fairs, further expanding the reach and effectiveness of the recruitment efforts. The position is open to full-time remote work, reflecting the flexible and inclusive culture of UVA Human Resources, which values teamwork and partnership. The selected applicant will be required to pass a background check and health screening as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting for high volume/hard to recruit positions
  • Sourcing candidates using a variety of tools including social media
  • Implementing and creating recruitment plans
  • Keeping accurate and concise records concerning all phases of the recruitment process
  • Recruiting via virtual events, colleges, technical schools and job fairs
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One year of relevant experience required
  • Preferred: Four years of experience in a professional position
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience or Master's degree with one year of experience
  • Experience using Workday or other ATS is preferred
