About the position

The Regional Recruiter at Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) will play a crucial role in supporting the hiring initiatives for the Western Region. This position involves developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates, ensuring that UES continues to grow and excel in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The recruiter will collaborate with department managers, build candidate pipelines, and manage the recruitment process from job posting to candidate selection.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify future hiring needs.
  • Build candidate pipelines to support requisitions across multiple skill sets and functions.
  • Attract and recruit candidates using various means, including databases, social media networks, and referrals.
  • Develop and update job descriptions, job specifications, offer letters, and other recruitment materials.
  • Post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges, etc.
  • Screen candidates' resumes and job applications, conduct interviews, and extend offers or rejections.
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Manage interview schedules, itineraries, and travel, as well as candidate feedback sessions.
  • Communicate status updates and coordinate changes with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Establish professional relationships with local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events.
  • May train or mentor junior staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 4+ years of recruiting experience (or equal combination of education and experience).
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Good knowledge of state and federal hiring laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Comfort with recruiting technologies, job boards, and standard office and collaboration software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment while fostering good relationships at all levels.
  • Exceptional listening, reading, communication (written & verbal), and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual language skills desirable, but not required.
