About the position

The Recruiter at Gates Corporation will play a crucial role in supporting the hiring needs of the company's manufacturing plants and distribution centers across the United States. This position focuses on full-cycle recruiting for both professional and production roles, collaborating with plant leadership and HR managers to develop effective recruiting strategies. The recruiter will also engage in campus recruiting, branding, and outreach initiatives to attract diverse talent, while ensuring compliance with Global Recruiting Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Responsibilities

  • Support all US plant and distribution center hiring efforts.
  • Develop and execute full-cycle recruiting plans in partnership with plant leadership and HR managers.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for various roles, focusing on professional positions but also supporting production roles as needed.
  • Drive campus recruiting and branding initiatives, including vocational/technical school marketing and regional job fairs.
  • Engage in Veteran and Affirmative Action outreach to promote diversity in hiring.
  • Assist in recruiting team projects as required.
  • Travel to plant locations as needed to provide on-site recruiting assistance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant or high-volume recruiting environment.
  • Experience with recruiting agencies is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency with systems, Excel, and related software.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data effectively.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and external candidates.
  • Understanding of recruiting principles and best practices.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or corporate recruiting environments.
  • Familiarity with recruiting metrics and performance indicators.
