About the position

As a Recruiter at HR-Rethought, you will play a pivotal role in our HR consulting firm based in Overland Park, Kansas. We specialize in providing tailored HR and recruiting services to small businesses across various industries, including manufacturing, engineering, and retail services. Our clients range from those with their first employee to those with over 200 employees. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Recruiter who will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting candidates for a diverse array of positions while maintaining strong relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust recruiting background and understand the unique needs of small businesses, which often require a customized approach to their recruiting strategies. We value a positive attitude and a sense of urgency, as well as the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Communication is key in this role, as you will be interacting with candidates, clients, and team members regularly. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and updating job descriptions, sourcing candidates through various online channels, crafting engaging recruiting emails, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and preparing assessments. You will also monitor key recruiting metrics and build strong relationships with hiring managers to address their needs and concerns. Additionally, you will act as a mentor to new hires, assisting them in their onboarding process. Responsibilities

  • Design and update job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms)
  • Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates
  • Screen incoming resumes and application forms
  • Interview candidates (via phone, video, and in-person)
  • Prepare and distribute assignments and numerical, language, and logical reasoning tests
  • Advertise job openings on the company's careers page, social media, job boards, and internally
  • Submit candidates to client hiring managers, leadership, and/or other designated representatives
  • Conduct verbal job offer calls and answer questions related to benefits as required
  • Monitor key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source of hire
  • Build strong relationships with managers addressing questions and concerns or elevating as necessary
  • Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
  • Act as a mentor to new hires and help them onboard

Requirements

  • 4+ years of recent experience in Recruiting, including but not limited to sourcing, interviewing, and working directly with hiring managers
  • 2+ years of client-facing and/or account management experience
  • Technologically savvy; ability to quickly and easily learn new software
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgement with confidence and ability to make decisions independently
  • Strong follow-through capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
