About the position

As a Recruiter at XPO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the workforce by developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with management to identify current and future hiring needs, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent. You will be tasked with building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified candidates through various sourcing channels, including internet searches, social networking, cold calling, referrals, and participation in job fairs and networking events. On a typical day, you will engage in direct sourcing of candidates, focusing on both passive and active job seekers for a range of positions, from entry-level hourly roles to salaried individual contributor and leadership positions. You will screen candidates to assess their work history, skill levels, and organizational fit, providing recommendations to hiring teams based on your evaluations. Additionally, you will manage the logistics of interview scheduling and ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Your role will also involve conducting regular meetings with business partners to share insights on recruiting best practices and market data. You will oversee the offer process, which includes making salary recommendations, generating offer letters, and collaborating with business partners on negotiations. Maintaining data integrity within the applicant tracking system is essential, as is ensuring that all candidates have a positive experience during their recruitment journey.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to develop recruitment strategies, including building pipelines for current and future needs
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to easily identify and source qualified talent through various channels
  • Identify and initiate contact with potential qualified talent for specific positions via direct sourcing
  • Recruit both passive and active candidates for entry-level, high-volume, hourly roles as well as salaried individual contributor and leadership roles
  • Screen candidates in regard to work history, skill level and organizational fit, and make recommendations to the hiring teams
  • Manage interview scheduling and logistics
  • Conduct regular business partner meetings to advise on recruiting best practices and market data
  • Manage offer process to include salary recommendations, offer letter generation and offer acceptance/rejection; collaborate with business partners on all negotiations
  • Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of professional recruitment experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of professional recruitment experience
  • 2 years of experience with a leading applicant tracking system, preferably SuccessFactors
  • Recent high-volume recruiting experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience in the transportation, logistics and/or freight brokerage industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced internet searching, researching candidates and cold calling
  • Demonstrated confidence in all settings when advising/working with business partners
