About the position
The Human Resources Recruiter at Bates Trucking Co Inc is responsible for managing the recruitment process for the trucking operation. This role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can effectively interact with candidates and staff while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. The recruiter will support the HR Supervisor and coordinate various recruitment activities, ensuring the staffing needs of the division are met efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate the Human Resources recruitment effort for the division.
- Support the recruitment needs of the division by attending job fairs and hiring events.
- Maintain confidentiality of Human Resources and Payroll records and information.
- Schedule candidates for hire and contact potential and past employees regarding hiring/rehiring.
- Coordinate employment payroll-related data entry and new hire set-up.
- Work closely with the Human Resource Corporate Office to meet the needs of the division.
Requirements
- At least one year of HR recruitment experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of Publisher is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with the public, candidates, employees, supervisors, and management.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Paychex Flex payroll and human resources information system.
