About the position

The Recruiter at 1-800 Hansons plays a crucial role in the growth and success of the organization by identifying and attracting qualified candidates for various positions. This position is responsible for the entire recruitment process, from developing recruitment plans in collaboration with management to screening candidates and facilitating the onboarding process. The Recruiter will utilize various creative methods to source candidates, including job advertisements, social media, and networking. They will also manage the recruitment module in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with employment laws and tracking key metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. In this role, the Recruiter will be expected to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail, as they will be responsible for scheduling interviews, making offers of employment, and managing the onboarding process for new hires. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders, as well as effective communication skills to present information clearly and concisely. Responsibilities

  • Work with management to determine a recruitment plan for open positions within the organization
  • Find, propose, and execute creative recruiting methods to source candidates
  • Create and post publications to attract candidates, such as job advertisements, social media posts, and flyers
  • Screen and interview applicants in a variety of formats, including by phone, internet, and in person
  • Schedule and coordinate applicants for additional interviews with management
  • Monitor the recruiting budget and make recommendations to stay within budget
  • Work with external vendors to ensure the best and most efficient and cost-effective recruiting tools are being used
  • Propose and implement ideas for better process efficiency
  • Make verbal offers and send out electronic offers
  • Facilitate, track and manage the full onboarding process
  • Maintain and utilize our ADP recruitment module database
  • Track and report out on key recruiting metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a high-volume Recruiter role, recruiting positions at multiple levels within a company
  • Detail oriented, organized, and ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Strong data analysis skills, including reporting and data analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills; must have the ability to develop strong relationships
  • Effective oral communications skills, including the ability to present in front of groups
  • Strong written communications skills, including the ability to draft job postings and job descriptions
