About the position

The Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist at JVS SoCal is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting process to support a high-volume recruiting organization. This role involves sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and making job offers, while ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires. The specialist will work closely with hiring managers and the marketing team to implement effective hiring strategies and track key recruitment metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the full cycle recruiting process to meet staffing goals across multiple programs and departments.
  • Assists with weekly Headcount meetings and ensures accuracy in staffing processes.
  • Ensures appropriate onboarding documents are provided for all new and existing job positions.
  • Posts positions on internal and external job boards and collaborates with the marketing team on hiring strategies.
  • Reviews resumes to ensure candidates meet experience, education, and qualification requirements.
  • Conducts phone screenings with applicants for various positions.
  • Creates interview guides for open positions.
  • Works with hiring managers to schedule interviews and expedite the hiring process.
  • Makes verbal and written job offers to candidates.
  • Runs background checks and processes reference checks on applicants.
  • Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager on onboarding processes after job offers are accepted.
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent.
  • Tracks and reports key metrics to measure and predict staffing activity.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and time management skills are essential.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Creativity in the recruitment process and experience recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt workforce is necessary.
  • Experience with recruitment platforms, particularly Paylocity, is strongly preferred.
