About the position

The HR Onboarding Specialist at Whitsons is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to their first day and beyond. This role focuses on coordinating onboarding activities, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies to enhance employee engagement and retention. The specialist will leverage their expertise with ADP and HR best practices to create a welcoming onboarding experience that fosters integration into the company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and streamline the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all onboarding activities are completed on schedule.
  • Utilize ADP to facilitate recruitment processes, including candidate tracking, interview scheduling, and pre-employment documentation.
  • Prepare and organize onboarding materials, including offer letters, employment contracts, and new hire forms.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork and onboarding procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires throughout their onboarding journey, addressing questions and providing support.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and completeness for each new hire.
  • Gather feedback on the onboarding experience and recommend improvements for a seamless and positive onboarding process.
  • Provide orientation support to new locations and assist with onboarding new team members, which may require travel.
  • Maintain effective relationships with hiring managers to ensure smooth communication throughout the recruitment cycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in HR or Recruitment, with specific experience in onboarding and recruitment utilizing an Applicant Tracking system, preferably with ADP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with ADP, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is an advantage.
  • Bilingual Spanish is strongly desired.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of $50K per year.
