About the position

The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in the HR team at Golden State Orthopedics & Spine, focusing on attracting and integrating talented individuals into the organization. This position encompasses the full cycle of recruitment and onboarding, ensuring that new employees feel welcomed and prepared from their first day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top candidates.
  • Collaborate with department leads and hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, and establish criteria for selection.
  • Build a talent pipeline by utilizing job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess fit and suitability for roles.
  • Evaluate final candidate selections with hiring managers to ensure alignment with department needs and clinic values.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, collect feedback, and facilitate hiring decisions.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and provide regular status updates on hiring activities.
  • Coordinate all pre-boarding activities for new hires, including paperwork, background checks, and setting up system access.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions, introducing employees to the clinics culture, mission, and policies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Partner with department leads to develop customized onboarding plans and schedules for each new hire.
  • Work with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure all equipment, credentials, and resources are prepared in advance.
  • Provide ongoing support to new hires during their initial months, encouraging engagement and satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback on the onboarding experience to drive continuous improvements and enhance employee retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, or a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, welcoming experience and build rapport with candidates and new employees.
