About the position

The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist at UB Greensfelder LLP is responsible for managing the recruitment process for staff and attorney roles, particularly in the Ohio, New York, and Washington, D.C. regions. This role involves collaborating with various HR functions, participating in interviews, and creating new hire orientations, all while maintaining a focus on diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Source active and passive candidates for posted staff and attorney roles in the Ohio, New York, and Washington, D.C. region.
  • Participate in the interview process, review evaluations, and draft offer letters.
  • Partner with HR & Recruiting Manager and Department/Practice Group Leaders to determine hiring needs and establish creative avenues to efficiently fill positions with top talent.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with legal search firms and other external recruitment sources.
  • Recruit for regional Summer Associate law student programs, including on-campus interview (OCI) process.
  • Participate in planning and execution of summer program, including internal meetings, trainings, and social events.
  • Create and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Partner with HR & Recruiting Manager on creation of integration teams for newly hired attorneys and staff.
  • Stay abreast of trends within the legal market, particularly in regions where the firm has offices.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years relevant work experience in a law firm or other professional services setting required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe required.
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems preferred but not required.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
