About the position

As a Senior Real Estate Manager at CBRE in Nashville, Tennessee, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and financial activities of large property portfolios. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively supervise a team dedicated to property management, ensuring that all client objectives are met. You will be responsible for the overall management of properties on behalf of clients, which includes a variety of tasks ranging from staff supervision to financial reporting and tenant relations. In this role, you will provide formal supervision to employees, which includes monitoring their training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and offering coaching as needed. You will oversee the recruiting and hiring processes for new team members, coordinate daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure that staff are cross-trained effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in setting and tracking departmental deadlines, mentoring team members, and responding to high-profile tenant needs and issues. As the primary contact for property owners, you will act as their representative, ensuring that their objectives are met while preparing and delivering timely, accurate, and complete reports. You will also be responsible for developing and controlling annual budgets for both operating and capital expenses, forecasting complex management plans, and preparing monthly performance reports that explain any variances. Additionally, you will help create advanced programs to assist properties with emergency recoveries and will be involved in the preparation and approval of all required legal notices, recommending and coordinating legal action as necessary. Your role will also include reviewing tenant rent and common area maintenance recovery charges to ensure timely payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information.
  • Convey performance expectations and handle problems effectively.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
