About the position

Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator. The primary objective of this position is to assist the college in meeting enrollment objectives with the recruitment and follow-up of new students and support for retention of existing students. This objective is met through effective marketing of Northeastern's academic programs, facilities, and overall NJC college experience to high school students, parents, teachers, high school counselors, employers, and at other venues focused on non-traditional students. The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator reports to the Director of Admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively promote NJC programs and opportunities to new and existing students.
  • Provide service to students through responsive communications and teamwork with peers in college activities, planning, and committee responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited university or college in business, communications, education, public relations, or another related field.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license required, with potential for obtaining level Class B commercial license.
  • Ability to commit to extensive in-state travel, some evening and weekend hours possible.
  • Knowledge of office and business computer use, specifically Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry/pull materials up to 45 pounds.

Benefits

  • Annual salary is $36,000-$40,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
