About the position

The Outreach and Admissions / Career Transition Specialist Manager at Alternate Perspectives, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the entire admissions and career transition processes for the Job Corps program. This role involves developing recruitment strategies, managing admissions goals, and supporting applicants from application to enrollment, as well as assisting them with transitional services post-program. The manager will lead a team that embodies the organization's mission and values, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire Outreach and Admissions (OA) and Career Transition Specialist (CTS) processes for the organization.
  • Develop admissions goals and improve recruitment strategies.
  • Support applicants throughout the admissions process from application to enrollment.
  • Oversee assistance for participants regarding housing, job obtainment, and additional transitional services post-program.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
  • Serve as acting manager in the manager's absence.
  • Provide staff training and evaluate staff performance.
  • Assist in the development of departmental budgets and control expenditures.
  • Review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
  • Assist in the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting ONCTS.
  • Review and audit all assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness of service delivery to students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years related experience required, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
