About the position

A Teardown/Recycle Tech (I) at our Lennox AES location in Weatherford, TX is responsible for the safe and efficient recovery and reclamation of parts from HVAC systems. This role is crucial for environmental sustainability, ensuring the proper handling, recycling, and disposal of HVAC components in compliance with industry regulations. The technician will follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery, handle and sort materials through the reclaim process, and identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process. Additionally, the technician must ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities and may be required to cross-train and assist in other areas depending on workload. This position offers an opportunity for overtime and is ideal for individuals looking for a diverse working environment with long-term growth possibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery of HVAC parts.
  • Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
  • Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
  • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil.
  • Able to use hand and power tools, including metal cutting saws preferred.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Able to handle and sort different materials.
