About the position

The Operations Manager at E-opala Recycling is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the recycling center, including dispatch, drivers, warehouse management, maintenance, and safety protocols. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-growing e-waste management company in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of dispatch, drivers, and the warehouse.
• Set up daily schedules and routes for drivers and manage attendance.
• Keep track of the progress made by drivers along their routes.
• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor services for customers as they relate to operations.
• Routinely communicate with drivers throughout the day using a two-way radio.
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff to maintain consistent inventory levels and meet container shipping schedules.
• Maintain daily logs and paperwork.
• Debrief drivers at the end of the route.
• Handle customer issues that may occur on-site in person as well as over the phone.
• Contribute to departmental and safety meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years managerial experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Warehouse experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with different groups of people.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a high-volume calling environment.
• Strong computer skills recommended.
