About the position

The RediMix Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Redi-mix truck for delivering concrete products. This role emphasizes adherence to safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring the safe transport of materials while maintaining communication with dispatch and clients.

Responsibilities

• Inspect concrete truck to ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and lights.
• Prioritize safety while driving to job sites and coordinate with homeowners or contractors for safe truck positioning.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding project status and schedule changes via cellular phone or radio.
• Complete all necessary paperwork before leaving the job site.
• Clean out the truck in an environmentally responsible manner as requested by the contractor or homeowner.
• Ensure cleanliness and care of the equipment, including washing down the truck to remove excess concrete.
• Perform post-trip inspections of the concrete truck to DOT standards and report maintenance issues as needed.
• Assist with sweeping and shoveling at the plant during inclement weather when trucks are not in operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good driving record is essential.
• CDL Class A or Class B preferred; training available for the right candidate.
• Ability to interact diplomatically with customers and coworkers under pressure.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting at least 75 pounds multiple times a day.
• Ability to walk, sit, lift, push, and climb frequently.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Basic math skills are beneficial.
• Compliance with PPE requirements as per company policy.
