About the position

The Reentry Coach at Rubicon Programs plays a vital role in the operation of a multi-service center focused on reentry services for formerly incarcerated individuals in Contra Costa County. This position involves coordinating the delivery of essential services, fostering client engagement, and supporting service planning and retention. The Coach acts as a primary contact for clients and partners, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive environment while addressing logistical challenges and promoting successful outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, positive, and empathetic point of contact with clients as they engage with the Center.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with clients and provide honest, productive feedback and supportive guidance.
• Design, coordinate, and lead orientation sessions, workshops, trainings, and support groups.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for RSC partners in their direct-service work with clients.
• Help address day-to-day logistical or collaborative issues experienced by partners.
• Gather and enter appropriate client data at each touch point along a client's journey.
• Serve as an external ambassador representing the Center in public forums and at external events.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working with the reentry population or individuals facing complex challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills in problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Solid administrative skills including attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based databases.
• Ability to obtain clearance to correctional facilities.
• Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.
