About the position

As a Reference Attorney at Thomson Reuters, you will play a crucial role in providing legal research support to professionals around the world, primarily focusing on Westlaw, the leading provider of information to the legal community. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that continuously evolves to meet customer demands while maintaining an industry-leading level of service. Collaboration with sales, account management, editorial, and product development teams will be key to connecting customer needs with business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers in real-time to discuss their legal research projects and craft tailored research solutions.
  • Educate customers on research strategy, content offerings, and product functionality.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to quickly resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school and bar admission from any U.S. state.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and online systems with the ability to multitask while supporting customers via phone, live chat, and email.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 - 2 years of prior legal experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior customer service experience is helpful.
