As a Process Engineer or Technical Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting plant operations by being assigned to specific units within the refinery. Your responsibilities will include daily monitoring and troubleshooting, process optimization, and the design and development of capital projects and major modifications to existing units. You will leverage state-of-the-art technology for process simulation and optimization, recommending programs and procedures to enhance the economic efficiency of refining operations. In addition to Process Engineers, we also seek Process Control Engineers who will provide technical support for our sophisticated Distributed Control System. Working collaboratively with line operators and engineers, you will maintain and troubleshoot control system issues and develop advanced control applications for various process units. This role requires you to stay abreast of emerging technologies to inform future control strategies and investments. Operations Research Engineers will assist in developing planning, blending, scheduling, and process models that optimize crude oil purchasing, refinery production, and finished product scheduling. Environmental Engineers will engage in projects ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, applying engineering principles to various environmental projects, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of applicable environmental laws. Products Control/Economics Engineers will work on diverse projects related to operations, blending, and refinery economics, gaining insights into tank farm operations and the economics of refining. You will analyze refinery process flow data, identify equipment failures, and develop applications to enhance process data presentation for operational decision-making. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for plant operations as a Process Engineer/Technical Service Engineer.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot specific units within the refinery on a daily basis.
  • Optimize processes and design capital projects and modifications to existing units.
  • Apply advanced technology for process simulation and optimization.
  • Recommend programs and procedures to enhance economic efficiency in refining operations.
  • Support the refinery's Distributed Control System as a Process Control Engineer.
  • Collaborate with line operators and engineers to maintain and troubleshoot control system issues.
  • Develop advanced control applications for process units, including product blending and dynamic controls.
  • Track emerging technologies to inform future control strategies and investments.
  • Assist in developing planning, blending, scheduling, and process models as an Operations Research Engineer.
  • Engage in environmental compliance projects and apply engineering principles to various environmental projects.
  • Analyze refinery process flow data and compare it to recommended optimum levels as a Products Control/Economics Engineer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Military experience is a plus.
