The position at CoolSys involves providing repair and maintenance services for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and timely service. The role includes working on various systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting the department with job processing and installations. Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Provide service by repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, and air handlers.
• Perform general repair work on HVAC systems including air conditioning units and gas furnaces.
• Conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical skills.
• Maintain records of work history and job tickets.
• Support the department by processing work orders promptly.
• Pick up, deliver, and install equipment as needed.
• Perform minor construction and remodeling projects.
• Drive company vehicle safely and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• EPA certification.
• Minimum 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, and previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes is helpful.
• Good driving record and ability to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance and sit/stand for several hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus!
