About the position
The Refugee Career Specialist is responsible for promoting employment and training opportunities to assist refugees in achieving self-sufficiency through effective job search and training support. This role involves outreach, assessment, and collaboration with community partners to facilitate successful employment outcomes for refugees.
Responsibilities
- Outreach, recruitment, and enrollment of participants in the program.
- Assess individuals' abilities, skills, interests, vocational strengths and weaknesses, and job readiness.
- Maintain effective working relationships with all community partners and employers.
- Provide assistance with goal setting, training, resume preparation, and job search.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation.
