About the position

The Refugee Case Manager is a non-exempt position focused on providing essential services to refugees and eligible clients, facilitating their self-sufficiency and integration into American life. This role involves conducting assessments, developing service plans, and coordinating various support services to help clients achieve their goals. The position requires collaboration across multiple programs and adherence to grant guidelines and agency regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete enrollments and assessments for eligible clients.
• Determine client eligibility and develop individualized service plans.
• Conduct quarterly assessments of service plans.
• Provide case management for refugees enrolled in the program.
• Identify and address needs for medical, legal, mental health, employment, educational, and social services.
• Assist clients in enrolling in services aligned with their service plans.
• Assess and provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Accompany refugees to appointments and assist with documentation.
• Maintain accurate case files in compliance with funder regulations.
• Prepare and document financial assistance provided to clients.
• Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Director of Refugee Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, human services, social services, or a related field (preferred).
• Two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and life experience required.
• Cross-cultural experience or cultural diversity training required.
• Bilingual, preferably in languages most spoken by clients.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working with refugees and immigrants (preferred).
