About the position

The Refugee Case Manager is a non-exempt position responsible for providing essential services to refugees and eligible clients to facilitate their social integration into the United States. This role involves conducting assessments, determining client eligibility, and assisting refugees in developing individualized service plans to achieve self-sufficiency. The position requires collaboration across various programs and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with funder regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete enrollments and assessments for eligible clients.
• Determine client eligibility and collect necessary data.
• Assist refugees in developing individualized service plans for self-sufficiency.
• Conduct quarterly assessments of Career Development Plans.
• Provide case management for enrolled refugees.
• Identify needs for medical, legal, mental health, educational, and social services.
• Assist clients in enrolling in services aligned with their Service Plans.
• Assess and provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Accompany refugees to appointments and assist with documentation.
• Maintain and document case files in accordance with funder regulations.
• Prepare and document financial assistance provided to clients.
• Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Program Manager and Director of Refugee Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, human services, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and life experience required.
• Cross-cultural experience or cultural diversity training required.
• Bilingual in languages most spoken by clients (Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Slavic, Creole) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
