About the position

The Refugee Case Manager is a non-exempt position focused on providing essential services to refugees and eligible clients to promote their self-sufficiency and integration into American society. This role involves conducting assessments, developing service plans, and coordinating various support services to help clients navigate their new environment successfully.

Responsibilities

• Complete enrollments and assessments for eligible clients.
• Determine client eligibility and develop individualized service plans.
• Conduct quarterly assessments of service plans.
• Provide case management for refugees enrolled in the program.
• Assist clients in accessing medical, legal, mental health, employment, educational, and social services.
• Assess and address client transportation needs, providing transportation as necessary.
• Accompany refugees to appointments and assist with documentation.
• Maintain accurate case files in compliance with funder regulations.
• Prepare and document financial assistance provided to clients.
• Ensure adherence to grant guidelines and deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Director of Refugee Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a social services related field (preferred).
• Two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and life experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Dari, or Pashto.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.

• Previous experience working with refugees and immigrants.
• Knowledge of community organization and resources.
