About the position

The Respiratory Therapist position at Mercy Hospital Ada is a flexible, per diem role focused on providing direct patient care in respiratory therapy. The role allows for variable shifts, including day or night options, without weekend or holiday requirements. The therapist will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license as per state requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• One year of experience in respiratory therapy, excluding orientation time.
• Physical ability to push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.

Nice-to-haves

• Critical care experience preferred.
