About the position

The position is a full-time temporary role focused on supporting regional collection efforts for AmeriGas. The primary responsibilities include resolving customer service disputes, managing accounts receivable for key accounts, and improving communication to reduce order interruptions. The role aims to minimize third-party involvement in delinquent accounts and enhance overall credit management processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a collections liaison for the regional pod and conduct monthly aging reviews.
• Prioritize and resolve top delinquent accounts within the region.
• Provide increased support for large Commercial & Ace accounts.
• Review write-offs including final bills, tank pickups, and no deliveries.
• Accountable for releasing credit blocked orders within the region.
• Collaborate with TSR on accounts receivable aging by sales representative within the region.
• Manage accounts receivable for assigned accounts through analysis, customer calls, and research.
• Make recommendations to the manager on effective practices and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
• 2 - 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email communications.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and customer activity reports.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Excellent communication skills.
